Set in rural Shropshire, to the south of Clee Hill, Milson makes a great base for visiting Cleobury Mortimer, Ludlow and Tenbury Wells. There are many picturesque walks, and local hostelries.

3nm WSW of Cleobury Mortimer, 30nm west of Birmingham, the airstrip has a 450x12m grass runway 35/17, 500ft. amsl.
There is a large windsock and a metal helipad to the east of the strip.
We are listed in all current flight guides, Pooleys, AFE, Lockyear's etc. Member of the Flying Farmers Association.

PPR by telephone essential.

Circuits.

Left Hand for Rwy 35, Right Hand for 17.

Above 800ft agl please. Remember, airfield is 500ft amsl.

Pilot/ACFT must be capable of operating from a short strip.
The 2 white hangers & farm house at North end of strip are good locators, as is large metal Helipad to east of strip.
All pilots are requested to sign the movements book
situated in control caravan.

Landing fee £3.00, all types.
Occasional military helicopter movements weekdays, and model flying at weekends.

Avgas/Mogas available by arrangement.

Warnings
Rwy 35 has up slope which increases markedly in last portion. Arr Rwy 35, Dept Rwy 17 unless wind is extreme, ie. above 10kts southerly.
A long final is recommended for accurate arrival.
Turbulence on approach is common, especially over stream immediately before threshold 35. Do not land short of strip!
Caution Clee Hill (1750ft amsl) 2nm NW, and surrounding high ground.

NB. 10 flights a day is the maximum permissable under our planning consent, unlimited on designated fly-in weekends. Upto 10 based aircraft, therefore visitor availability may be limited. PPR.
Arr. only (no Dept) 1400-1700 (local) on Sundays April to September. No restriction for designated fly-ins.

Please show consideration to local habitation, in particular avoid white house immediately to SE of the field. Overflight of farm on direct approach is no problem.
